Starting a brand-new film festival is no easy task, so we’re going to need a lot of help! If you love film and would like to help with Twelve Lions, become a volunteer. Here is just a sample of some of the ways you can help.

Box Office 

The Box Office is located at The Kentucky Theatre. Volunteering here will involve selling tickets, all-access passes, and other film festival transactions. We provide training.

Drivers - Local

During the festival (SEP 28 - OCT 1), run assigned errands for festival leadership and provide shuttle rides between venues. Driving filmmakers on assigned tour routes. Must provide a copy of a valid driver's license and be insured.

After Party

Help to set up for the After Party, help during the event, and help with breakdown following the party.

Venue Host

We need two Venue Hosts for each screening. Hosting includes greeting people, taking tickets, and perhaps briefly introducing the film. If filmmakers are present, the host will facilitate a Q&A and after each film will record audience choice votes.

Pre-festival Preparation and Post-festival Closing

The Box Office and Volunteer Central (located at The Kentucky Theatre) need to be organized prior to the festival, posters and Festival flags distributed, and materials organized before the festival. After the festival everything must be boxed and stored until 2024.

Assorted Volunteer Tasks

Assist with a variety of tasks during the festival that may include stepping in to help a Venue Host, delivering materials to a particular venue, staffing an information station, and other tasks as assigned.
